Vielleicht der hellste neue Stern am Ska-Himmel: The Steady 45s kommen aus dem hispanisch geprägten East Los Angeles. Ihre Musik ist eine hinreißende Mischung aus authentischem Ska und Soul der 60 Jahre: The Shirelles treffen auf The Skatalites.
Auf der Frühjahrstour präsentiert sich die Band mit einem neuen Sänger und dem bereits heiß ersehnten zweiten Album „Don’t Be Late“, produziert von Roger Rivas (Aggrolites). Zusätzlich werden einige neue Singles veröffentlicht. Darauf schon zu hören ist der neue Sänger John Butcher, der den Experten natürlich als Frontmann von The Expanders und auch von Jr. Thomas & The Volcanos bekannt ist.

The Steady 45s well may well be the fastest rising star on the ska horizon. They provide an enchanting mixture of authentic ska and 60s Soul: The Shirelles meet The Skatalites in a hot, steamy club in East Los Angeles.
On their spring tour, they celebrate the highly anticipated release of their sophomore album “Don’t Be Late”. This soulful collection of songs recorded over the past 2 years, will feature fan favourites and some thrilling new tunes. You can also look forward to a couple of hot singles in the coming weeks to keep you warm this winter.
The tour will also be a welcome opportunity for The Steady 45s to present their new singer, John Butcher, who many of us already know as the front man for fellow Californians The Expanders and also as a member of Jr. Thomas & The Volcanos.
